The LUprints workshop is located in the mountain town of Pemberton, British Columbia.
Here we design and produce a line of home goods with a distincly Scandinavian style.
The bold textile designs are hand printed and sewn in Canada, and compliment a range of high quality and usable household items that are attractive, yet functional statement pieces for the modern home. These include birchwood trays, cutting boards, ceramics, bamboo mobiles and ornaments, along with a line of notecards.
Our ethos is to use sustainably sourced raw materials, product packaging, and to support fair labor and wages for our team and any product we are a part of making.
LUprints principal designer, Ulla Clark, was introduced to Scandinavian textiles at a young age through growing up with a Swedish mother. On frequent family visits to Sweden her fondness for table runners and textiles blossomed.
She has always been drawn to the pleasing simplicity that nature provides. Trees, birds, flowers and mountains have become a constant theme in her work. Her strong connections to nature, as well as her memories of the beautiful yet functional linens, are a constant inspiration for new products and prints.
